ROAD READY REPAIRS

(CAR REPAIRS)

WE CAN HELP WITH CAR REPAIRS PER THE REQUIREMENTS AS LISTED BELOW. PLEASE NOTE OUR USUAL MAXIMUM FOR A CAR REPAIR IS $800.00 AND YOU MUST HAVE A WRITTEN ESTIMATE FROM A LICENSED CAR REPAIR SHOP BEFORE APPLYING:

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

WE ONLY ASSIST RETURNING CITIZENS. THOSE COMING BACK FROM PRISON AND WHO HAVE ALREADY APPLIED TO THAT PROGRAM OF OURS. IF YOU HAVEN’T YET APPLIED TO THAT PROGRAM THEN CLICK HERE FIRST: RETURNING HOPE TO RETURNING CITIZENS AND READ THE INFO AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO APPLY. TO QUALIFY FOR THIS PROGRAM:

1.

With car repairs, our maximum grant is $800.00.

So, if your estimate of repair from a licensed mechanic is more than that, and you or other sources can't pay the amount over $800.00, then don't apply right now. Feel free to discuss your current situation with us and what is needed to repair the car and how much above $800.00 is the current estimate.

2.

The vehicle must be registered in your name, in the State of Michigan and the vehicle must be insured. The insurance must be in your name and you need to have a current driver license with your current address on it.

3.

You must be able to show that you will be able to afford future car repairs and car maintenance. You will be required to provide your last four weeks of pay stubs (showing name, employer name, hours worked, rate of pay, YTD totals, gross and net pay, Federal taxes etc.) or your monthly disability statement to establish income. If you’re self-employed or an independent contractor/1099 employee, you must have documentation of your prior two months of income from your job via checks, Venmo, Paypal etc. You also must document that you are paying quarterly estimated income tax estimates as required by the IRS.

If the car is being financed then the bill payment must be up to date.  You can't be behind on your car payment.

We can't help with: Body damage to the vehicle (for example, fenders, dents, accident damage to body of car etc.) and we don’t usually help with replacement of tires. Also, if the car was just purchased very recently then we rarely will be able to repair it as no one should purchase a car that requires repairs right away.

4.

5.

We will require an estimate of repair from the licensed car repair business that will be doing the repair. Please do not apply before you have the estimate.  Also, if we can help you then we will make payment by credit card over the phone to the car repair business. So make sure whoever you get an estimate from will accept our payment over the phone. It is usually never a problem but best for you to confirm.

6.

Again, we would require anything above our maximum of $800.00 to be paid first before we would make our payment of $800.00. The entire bill must be paid at the time of repair, so please do not apply if you plan to have a payment plan in place for the remainder of the bill above our maximum. We cannot get involved in that situation. The entire repair bill must be taken car of now.

7.

We cannot assist with repairs if the car has too many miles or is too old and will need many repairs in the future to keep running. Each situation is unique and will determined by us in evaluating the car in question as we evaluate the make, model, year and mileage of the vehicle.

8.

We can't help with the requested repairs unless all the repairs needed will be accomplished now. We can't partially repair the car and then have it break down soon because some additional repairs needed to be done.

If you meet the above requirements for assistance, then please contact Bob for an Application to the ROAD READY REPAIRS PROGRAM.

If you have any questions then just email at heretohelpfoundation@icloud.com

We look forward to doing all we can to assist you.
